What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?
We combine some of the most effective parts of psychotherapy (talking therapy) with hypnosis. Our approach is influenced by neuroscience; in particular how the brain creates anxiety, stress and a whole range of mental health issues and feelings.
I’ll help you understand how your brain negatively impacts your perspective, mental health and behaviour. We’ll work together on developing strategies that will help you build resilience; break bad habits, form new ones and fulfil your potential.
What can I expect from each session?
You can expect a positive, safe and collaborative experience with every session. The first half is the talking therapy part; followed by hypnosis. Unlike other forms of therapy, we don’t re-visit the root cause or past trauma. Instead, we’ll focus on helping you re-frame your perspective and thinking to help you discover what needs to change and how.
As our approach is evidence-based, there will always be a section where I explain how your brain is impacting how you feel and think. Throughout the process I’ll give you a range of really practical and effective actions and strategies that will form your mental health toolkit.
Last but not least, we’ll finish with some deeply relaxing and chilled hypnosis.
Here’s what I can treat and help you with:

Performance
Better Sleep
Improved Confidence

What My Clients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
Is hypnosis safe and am I always in control?
It’s perfectly safe and is just a natural, relaxed state of focused attention; one we all experience in our day-to-day lives – for example when we watch TV or exercise. It was recognised as a valid treatment for patients in 1955 by the British Medical Association. There are no swinging watches or counting to 10! You will always be in total control and fully aware throughout the process.
How will the hypnosis benefit me?
The hypnosis always follows the talking therapy part of each session. This is because, when we are in the trance state (hypnotic state), at a subconscious level, we are more receptive and capable of making positive, long term psychological and behavioural changes. It’s also very relaxing and my clients often feel re-charged afterwards.
Is solution focused hypnotherapy just as affective online?
Absolutely. There is no loss in the efficacy when hypnotherapy is conducted online. I have worked with the vast majority of my clients online. In fact, for many, because of the time saved travelling, online fits in with really well with busy lifestyles.
